Who is Dr. Allen?
Dr. Hugh G. Allen, a 1990 graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry, has been dedicated to improving smiles and providing exceptional dental care for over 30 years. After completing a Dental Internship in General Practice at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Allen worked in private practices in New York and New Jersey before moving to Miramar, Florida, in 1996. Since opening his practice in Pembroke Pines in 2003, Dr. Allen has built a thriving dental office centered on personalized care, advanced technology, and a passion for helping others.
Dr. Allen is known for his gentle touch, excellent chairside manner, and ability to make patients feel comfortable, often hearing comments like, "I didn’t feel a thing!" He believes in treating patients like family and creating a pleasant dental experience for everyone. To provide the best care possible, he has invested in the latest technology, including CEREC® same-day restorations and laser dentistry, ensuring precise and efficient treatment.
An active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Allen regularly pursues continuing education with a focus on cosmetic dentistry and occlusion. Beyond his practice, he is deeply committed to community involvement, participating in health fairs, career days, and initiatives to inspire young African-Americans to pursue careers in dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with his wife of 18 years, Novel, and their daughter, Danielle. He is a member of the Covenant Seventh Day Adventist Church and an avid fan of the Washington Commanders and Miami Heat. In his spare time, he can often be found at the gym, reading, or watching sports. Dr. Allen’s dedication to his patients, his profession, and his community reflects his belief in the power of dentistry to transform lives.
